Lahore: Capital City police officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood
Dogar on Monday warned of strict action against those travelling in vehicles
with tinted glasses
“Driving tinted glass cars and traveling with private squads
will no longer be tolerated in the city” he said, expressing his determination
to enforce the law and order. Asked about the growing incidents of air
shootings in the city and lawyers during the bar's recent election, he said the
first information report had been filed and people involved in the shooting
were found with videos. The CCPO said a crackdown on land grabbers had begun in
the city as more people were arrested in Kahna. He said police were focusing on
child rape cases. He said such cases needed to be considered as probation
cases. He also urged the community, schools and parents to play their part and devise
standard operating procedures to use the internet by their children. Mr Dogar
was speaking to the media in Lahore High Court where he was summoned to a court
hearing to explain the incompetence of investigation officers.
