Five officials of Islamabad police arrested for killing a young soul

Islamabad: Five officials of the capital Police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested for killing a 21-years old man named Osama on Saturday morning.
According to the FIR lodged by Nadeem Satti, victim’s
father, Osama had a quarrel with the capital police a day earlier. On Jan 2, at around 2 am, Osama went to drop
his friend in H-11. When he was returning, the police intercepted his vehicle
and fired him from all sides which results in his death.
On the other hand, the Police Public Relation Office said
that police received a call from around 1:30 am, that some robbers travelling
in a white car, in H-13 in the jurisdiction of Shams Colony Police Station. According
to the information, they followed the vehicle for at least 5-6km and asked
driver to stop but the vehicle did not slow down. Then, the police opened the
fire which unfortunately hit the driver and caused him to death. The victim’s
relative, including his uncle told media persons that CTD officials fired 22
bullets out of which 6 hit Osama.
A judicial inquiry has been ordered by the Islamabad Chief
Commissioner Amer Ahmed Ali. He constituted Judicial Inquiry Team (JIT)
including representatives from Inter-Service Intelligence, Military Intelligence,
Intelligence Bureau, SDPO Ramna Circle and DSP Investigation.
