banks will be open till 9 p.m. on 31st dec

Karachi: All banks are directed to keep their branches open till 9 p.m. on Thursday 31^st Dec, to facilitate the National Institutional Facilitation Technology (NIFT).

In order to facilitate the collection of government receipts, taxes and dues, the state bank decided that the field office of the banking service corporation (BSC) and official branches of National bank of Pakistan will serve extended banking hours till 9 p.m. on Thursday 31^st Dec, for which the purpose of a special clearing has been arranged by the NIFT. These steps are necessary to facilitate the special clearing for government transaction by (NIFT).
